Industry veteran, Patrick Lee-Thorp has pitched a proposal to WOMEX to chair a panel on the future of the album in World Music.
He is expected to invite 3 guest onto the panel from 3 different parts of the business to look into the crystal ball and give their opinions.

Since the demise of the physical product (CD), World Music has not profited from the download or streaming alternative that has buoyed some other music genre. Nor has the mini boom of vinyl made any difference to the fortunes of the ethnic artists.Details will be announced on these pages shortly.
